1. Who we are

Curious Tom (Pty) Ltd ("Curious Tom", "we", "us") is a brand activation and experiential marketing agency based at Stott Ave, Nietgedacht 535-Jq, Johannesburg, 2191, South Africa. We are the "responsible party" for the personal information processed through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us:

• Enquiry form — your name, company, email address, phone number and the details of your project or brief.
• Direct contact — information you share when you email or phone us, including rental enquiries sent to our rentals team.
• Technical information — if we use website analytics, aggregated usage data such as pages visited and approximate location. This is not used to identify you personally.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and proposals, deliver and manage projects and rentals, and keep records that the law requires us to keep. We may also contact you about work we have discussed with you. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. Sharing

Your information is only shared with service providers who help us run our business (for example our website hosting and email providers), and only to the extent needed to provide those services. Where we are required to by law, we may disclose information to authorities.

5. Retention

We keep enquiry and project information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted.

6. Security

We take reasonable, appropriate steps to protect the personal information we hold against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we process it. To do so, contact us at hello@curioustom.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

8. Cookies

This website does not require cookies to function. If analytics cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe them and how to opt out.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page.
